I was chided and even laughed at when I purchased this pre-64 Model 94 from a small pawnshop in Idaho. It didn’t have any bluing left on the outside and the stock looked more than used, but I could tell it had been cared for. The bore was perfect and the action was tight. After carefully refinishing the wood and metal, and polishing the action and trigger, it looks presentation-grade and shoots fantastic. Thanks to John Browning, there is nothing like the feel of a Winchester Model 94.
