I love the feel of lever-action rifles, and even though they seem to be more of a saddle gun or a “toss in the pickup” companion, I like mine to be special.

This particular rifle is a “tack driver.” I cut the bead of the front sight off so it’s just a pinpoint. Thanks to Marlin’s 24-inch, micro-groove barrel and a custom trigger job, I won an informal, but very important, shooting contest against my cousin at a family reunion. This rifle has never let me down.
